Who We Are
Laura Earl began her entertainment career at the age of 5 with her first stage appearance in a Christmas concert and hasn't stopped since.
Laura has worked for over a decade in the media industry as both a journalist and television and radio producer, and more recently in public and media relations. All the while touring around the world as one half of the sketch comedy duo 2ToGo! Among 2ToGo!'s many career highlights, including sell out shows across Canada, is their 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut. In 2003, Laura premiered her first one-woman show ‘10 Times a Bridesmaid... Now What?’ to sold-out audiences in Ontario. It was later declared a "Hit of the Fringe" at the Atlantic Fringe Festival in Halifax. While living in the Maritimes, Laura was awarded an Emerging Artist Grant from ArtsNB, wrote and performed numerous commentaries for CBC Radio, continued her sketch comedy with partner Darryl Bautista and was honoured to join the cast of the acclaimed HubCap Comedy Revue for their 2006 provincial tour and the 2006 and 2008 HubCap Comedy Festival.
In 2007 Laura’s first National Radio Special aired on CBC Radio One featuring her latest solo-work, ‘I'm an Army Wife... Now What?’ earning her rave reviews and leading to a national stage show tour.
Laura has found a unique way to fuse her passions for journalism and performance through her company Blue Poodle Entertainment.
